DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE
The aim of Disciplinary Committee is to maintain discipline and decorum within the institution by addressing violations of rules, promoting responsible behavior, and ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
- OBJECTIVES
- To enforce institutional rules and regulations related to student conduct.
- To identify, evaluate, and address cases of indiscipline fairly and promptly.
- To instill values of responsibility, integrity, respect, and accountability among students.
- To counsel students involved in disciplinary issues and encourage positive behavioral change.
- To ensure a conducive environment for academic and personal development.

FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS
- The committee shall meet as and when required, based on the nature and urgency of reported incidents. At least two meetings per academic year for policy review and preventive planning.
FUNCTIONS OF THE COMMITTEE
- Formulate and review institutional rules regarding student discipline.
- Receive and investigate reports of indiscipline from faculty, staff, or students.
- Conduct fair and unbiased inquiry into the reported issues.
- Recommend appropriate corrective or punitive actions (warning, suspension, or expulsion).
- Maintain records of disciplinary cases and resolutions.
- Counsel students involved in misconduct and ensure support mechanisms are available.
- Promote awareness through seminars and orientation programs on discipline and ethics.
- Coordinate with parents/guardians in case of major disciplinary issues.
- Submit action taken reports (ATR) to the Principal and IQAC.
- Uphold dignity, respect, and human rights while handling disciplinary procedures.
