EXTRA CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR COMMITTEE

The aim of Extra curricular and Co-curricular Committee is to promote all-round development of students by organizing and encouraging active participation in extracurricular and co-curricular activities, fostering creativity, leadership, and a sense of social responsibility.

OBJECTIVES

  • To plan and coordinate a variety of extracurricular and co-curricular activities throughout the academic year.
  • To enhance student engagement in cultural, literary, sports, and community service initiatives.
  • To identify and nurture individual student talents.
  • To instill values like teamwork, time management, responsibility, and ethical behavior.
  • To create awareness on national and international observance days through activities and events.

FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS

  • The committee shall meet once every once

Additional meetings may be conducted as required before major events or competitions

FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare and circulate an annual calendar of extracurricular and co-curricular events
  • Organize cultural, literary, sports, and festival-based activities.
  • Celebrate important days like Independence Day, World Health Day, International Yoga Day, etc.
  • Encourage student clubs (e.g., NSS, SNA, Literary Club) and oversee their functioning.
  • Select and guide students for intercollegiate, university, and state-level competitions
  • Collaborate with other committees (e.g., IQAC, Sports Committee) for integrated programs.
  • Maintain documentation such as event reports, photos, attendance, and feedback.
  • Evaluate student participation and provide certificates and rewards for encouragement.
  • Promote inclusive and gender-sensitive participation in all activities
  • Submit periodic activity reports to the Principal and IQAC for review and quality improvement
